Mattel and Milestone have officially revealed Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, a new arcade racing game that expands the iconic toy brand beyond its signature orange tracks and into a world of open-ended exploration.
Announced during Summer Game Fest 2026, Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is set to launch on September 24, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Players who purchase eligible editions will also gain Early Access beginning September 21.
Unlike previous Hot Wheels racing titles, Infinite Rush introduces freely explorable environments spread across four themed islands. Each island features its own atmosphere, interactive playsets, collectibles, and challenges, allowing players to race, explore, and uncover secrets at their own pace. Players can even sky-jump between islands, creating a seamless experience that blends arcade racing with open-world-style exploration.
At the center of the experience is a roster of more than 150 vehicles divided across four classes. Each class offers distinct handling characteristics and upgrade paths, encouraging players to experiment with different builds and create their own “Rush Squad” for various events and activities. Alongside classic Hot Wheels Originals, players can also unlock vehicles from premium automotive manufacturers, including Ferrari.
Multiplayer is also a major focus for Infinite Rush. The game supports online racing with cross-play functionality across supported platforms, alongside local split-screen multiplayer for up to four players. Competitive modes, leaderboards, and asynchronous challenges will be available for players looking to test their skills against others.
Milestone is also expanding the game’s creative tools. The Sticker and Livery editors return with new wheel customization options, while an enhanced Track Builder introduces a ground-snapping system that allows players to place track pieces directly onto terrain. For the first time, creators can also add AI-controlled opponents to custom tracks by placing action markers that define racing routes.
Custom creations can be shared across supported platforms, allowing the community to build and exchange tracks, liveries, and challenges long after launch.
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush launches on September 24, 2026, with Early Access beginning September 21.
