Focus Entertainment and Asobo Studio have announced that Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy will launch on August 27, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The upcoming title received a new trailer during the Xbox Games Showcase 2026, offering a deeper look at its story, setting, and protagonist.
Serving as a prequel to the acclaimed A Plague Tale series, Resonance follows Sophia, a young plunderer whose journey begins years before the events of the main games. The story takes place at the crossroads of the Middle Ages and the Minoan era, introducing a fresh perspective on the world established in the A Plague Tale franchise.
Asobo Studio also confirmed that acclaimed composer Olivier Derivière is returning to provide the soundtrack for the game. Additional details regarding the original score will be shared closer to launch.
