Atlus continues to expand its presence on Nintendo Switch 2, with several major RPGs already available or on the way to the platform. One of the biggest upcoming releases is Metaphor: ReFantazio, which is set to arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 later this year.

During Anime Expo, Atlus showcased a new story trailer for Metaphor: ReFantazio, giving players a closer look at the game’s world, political conflict, and the journey awaiting its protagonist.
Set in the United Kingdom of Euchronia, the story begins after the assassination of the king throws the realm into turmoil. The kingdom is soon swept up in a royal tournament for the throne after the activation of the mysterious Royal Magic.
Players take control of the protagonist and his fairy companion, Gallica, as they travel across the kingdom in search of a way to lift the curse placed upon the kingdom’s prince. To achieve their goal, they must compete in the race for the throne while forming alliances with characters from the many tribes that inhabit Euchronia.
The latest trailer offers a deeper look at the game’s central narrative, key characters, and the challenges players will face on their journey through one of Atlus’ most ambitious fantasy worlds.
