Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV has revealed its Space Marines faction in a new gameplay trailer, confirming that both the Blood Ravens and Dark Angels will be playable when the strategy game launches on December 3, 2026.
Deep Silver and developer KING Art Games unveiled the fourth and final faction deep dive on October 8, highlighting the Space Marines’ combat capabilities, commanders, and distinct approaches to warfare.
Unlike the massive armies fielded by other factions, the Space Marines rely on smaller numbers of elite units, powerful shock assaults, and tactical positioning to gain the upper hand.
The new trailer showcases how the two Space Marine chapters will bring different strategies to the battlefield on Kronus.
Blood Ravens and Dark Angels Offer Different Playstyles
The Blood Ravens specialize in reconnaissance, infiltration, and precision strikes.
Rather than relying on overwhelming force, they operate behind enemy lines, gathering intelligence and exploiting weaknesses before launching coordinated attacks.
The Dark Angels, meanwhile, take a more aggressive approach. Their heavily armored formations are designed to engage enemies directly, using relentless firepower to break through opposing forces.
Each chapter also features its own commander.
Captain Cyrus leads the Blood Ravens, specializing in stealth, marksmanship, and carefully timed air strikes.
The Dark Angels are led by Astoran, a heavily armored commander who fights on the front lines. Equipped with powerful Terminator armor, Astoran is built to withstand enemy attacks while leading devastating assaults.
Space Marine players will also have access to powerful battlefield abilities, including Drop Pod deployments and Orbital Bombardments, allowing them to reinforce positions and unleash devastating attacks against enemy armies.
