Game studio 343 Industries recently announced on social media that Halo 3: ODST on PC will finally join the Halo: The Master Chief Collection soon.
According to the official Halo Twitter account, ODST on PC will join the large collection on Sept 22. The collection’s Steam page did say that all games part of it will be launched later this year, so Halo 4 will be released before the end of 2020. Before Infinite got delayed, it seemed it was the studio’s plan to release all titles on PC first but now that upcoming game got delayed to 2021.
ODST focuses more on the other side of the story and not solely on Master Chief. It does have that awesome Firefight feature in the original but now everyone in the Master Chief Collection has it.
