Resident Evil Village on PC to have Ray Tracing Features Assures AMD

Technology company AMD recently posted on social media that it has partnered with game company CAPCOM in announcing that upcoming video game Resident Evil Village on PC will have particular features.

According to AMD on its official Twitter account, RE Village will have ray tracing capabilities and AMD FidelityFX to enhance its atmosphere and next-generation visuals. This was shown in a new demo video.

The video attached to the tweet showcases how ray tracing works in the game like having real-time lighting and reflections. It is as if light is really bouncing off on reflective surfaces and onto other areas. This is shown off on the chandelier, candles, fireplace, and more.

No word yet if NVIDIA cards will offer ray tracing capabilities for the game, but AMD confirms this with this new social media post.

In a weird twist though, RE Village has its own PC specifications with AMD hardware. Without raytracing, an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 processor is recommended with an AMD Radeon RX 5700 graphics card, but if fans want with raytracing on, they need at least an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT to make it work. Yep, RX 6700 XT cannot turn on the ray tracing capabilities of the game for some reason.

Resident Evil Village will launch on PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on May 7.
