More details have been shared by EA about the game’s next-gen versions. However, the process for those who own the physical disc but has the digital console editions of PS5 and Xbox will have to go through some validation in order for you to be eligible to get a free upgrade.
“If you have a physical copy of the game on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One and have a discless PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series S, you will need to contact EA support at help.ea.com to validate your purchase using your account information to receive your free upgrade,” stated on the Jedi: Fallen Order next-gen FAQ page.
Here are the list of improvements you get once you upgrade your game to the next-gen version:
- Higher Resolution Textures & Assets
- 4K/HDR Resolution
- Improved 60 FPS Performance
- Significantly Faster Loading Times
ORIGINAL STORY
After rumors have circulated across the interwebs, Respawn Entertainment’s successful Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is expected to have a PS5 version to come out today. We can officially confirm that this via the PlayStation Store, with a note specifically noting a PS5 version.

Both Standard and Deluxe Editions have PS5 versions. It’s also worth noting that if you already own Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order you are eligible for a free upgrade.
We have yet to see the improvements aside from the boost of overall game stability and framerates.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is already available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
