Publisher TAITO and developer Survios have announced that they’ll be bringing back Puzzle Bobble back to console in stunning 3D starting on October 5th. 35 years to the day since loveable protagonist Bub became a sensation in arcades across the globe, effectively cementing the series’ reputation as one of gaming’s longest-standing and most beloved franchises.
Bursting with the same vibrant design, adorable characters, and timeless bubble-bursting gameplay as the original, Puzzle Bobble 3D: Vacation Odyssey is the next evolution of the classic action puzzle game franchise that captured the hearts of many growing up.
It is also noted that Puzzle Bobble 3D will be a cross-buy title, meaning every PS4 purchase will automatically come with the PS5 version of the game at no additional cost.
The game is Survios’ first true cross-reality title, allowing players to experience the game on PS4, PS5, or PSVR. Puzzles no longer lay on a flat plane, but take the form of three-dimensional clusters that spin and rotate with realistic physics when bubbles collide. The online 1v1 Duel Mode supports matches across the three different ways to play.
