A Plague Tale TV Series Officially Happening

A Plague Tale TV series is now officially in the works and will be based on the popular adventure game series.

This will be set in medieval France and the production is already getting talent from the same country to make the immersion quite believable.

At first, there was some interest of adapting the series by US production studios, but it was passed over to another one that is based on France. They wanted to keep the show closer to its setting and to the games’ developer Asobo, which are based in Bordeaux, France. No official word yet on scheduling for product yet or even casting, but it has been confirmed.

There is a director already, and a French one at that. French Director Mathieu Turi will be the one to direct the TV series. He has worked with Quentin Tarantino as assistant director on Inglourious Basterds. He was also the one to confirm he is working on the upcoming TV series.

👱‍♀️🧒🔥🐀 It’s official! I’m honored to work on the adaptation as a TV series of @APlagueTale. Thank you to @AsoboStudio and @Focus_entmt for their trust. I can’t wait to bring Amicia and Hugo’s journey to the screen! https://t.co/93Ct3FuCp2 #APlagueTale #Mediawan #MerlinProd

A Plague Tale: Innocence first got released in 2019 and there is an upcoming sequel, A Plague Tale: Requiem later this year. It will be released on Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PS5.
