Daybreak Game Company and Cold Iron Studios have announced that Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 will launch worldwide on August 25, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC.
The sequel expands upon the cooperative third-person survival shooter by increasing squad size to four players, introducing new enemies, deeper squad mechanics, and a fully customizable Specialist class designed to offer greater replayability.
Set in the iconic Alien universe, Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 once again places players in the boots of Colonial Marines as they battle relentless Xenomorphs across hostile environments. Players will need to coordinate with their squad, utilize each class’s unique abilities, and adapt to increasingly dangerous encounters as enemies become more intelligent and aggressive.
Alongside the release date announcement, Daybreak and Cold Iron Studios revealed the game’s available editions and post-launch content.
The Digital Standard Edition will retail for $49.99, while the 40th Anniversary Premium Edition will be available for $69.99. Players who purchase the Standard Edition can also upgrade later with the 40th Anniversary Premium Edition Upgrade for $19.99.

The Premium Edition includes two themed DLC packs inspired by the wider Alien franchise. The Ripley’s Hive Exterminator Pack features an outfit based on Ellen Ripley’s appearance in Aliens (1986), alongside her modified pulse rifle, exclusive decals, and additional customization items. Meanwhile, Herk Mondo’s Pest Pack brings the comic book character into the game with a themed outfit, a customized pulse rifle, and more cosmetic rewards.

Players will also be able to purchase the Rain’s Jackson’s Star Pack for $9.99, inspired by Alien: Romulus. The DLC includes an outfit based on protagonist Rain Carradine, her customized pulse rifle equipped with a cryoweapon attachment, and additional decals and cosmetic items.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 launches on August 25, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
