    An Xbox Monitor from Philips Launches Today

    Microsoft’s next-gen console gets its first “Designed for Xbox” monitor from Philips‘ license partner Monitors & Displays (MMD) today. Philips Momentum is a 55″ monitor with an HDMI 2.1 port that delivers a 4K display with an impressive refresh rate of 120 MHz.

    This Philips flagship monitor is built from the ground up to provide an ultra-clear and ultra-smooth gaming experience for Xbox fans. Users will also be able to activate an “Xbox Game Mode” that optimizes the display configuration for Xbox Series X|S. In addition to this impressive gaming monitor, Philips Momentum (559M1RYV) comes with comes along with speakers from a British manufacturer Bowers & Wilkins.

    “At Xbox, we are always looking to give our fans choice in how, what and where they play their favorite games,” said Matt Kesselring, Director of Xbox Hardware and Partnerships. “Today, we’re excited to announce our partnership with Philips to deliver the first Designed for Xbox monitor, giving fans a unique display with technology and features that provide the ultimate console gaming experience for Xbox Series X|S.”

    Fans always welcome a product that’s officially supported and licensed by the brand of their choice. While Philips Momentum is specifically designed for Series X, the Series S is still able to take advantage of the monitor, the all-digital Xbox variant will still be able to output an upscaled 4K display.

    “Philips Momentum broke new ground in console gaming as the first monitor to achieve VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification,” according to Chris Brown, Philips Monitors Global Product Marketing Lead. “We are thrilled that the Momentum console gaming monitors will deliver a new standard of audio-visual experience that will bring out the very best in your Xbox.”

    Philips Momentum is now available. So if you want to fully experience Xbox games such as Gears 5 and the upcoming Halo Infinite, then you may want to save up for this beast of a monitor as it costs $1,499.
