Respawn Entertainment has recently announced the new Apex Legends Celestial Sunrise Collection Event which introduces a new limited-time mode called Hardcore Royale.

    Apex Legends Introduces Hardcore Royale

According to the official website, Hardcore Royale is similar to Trios but with various changes that will make it very challenging for the team, and information sharing is crucial. Check out the various changes to this mode below:

    • Limited HUD
    • White Armor Only
    • No Helmets
    • Armor doesn’t spawn in Deathboxes (No Armor Swapping)
    • Ring starts at max Damage

This will be limited to accounts Level 20 and above only. Players are advised to level up first before entering this mode since it will be quite challenging. This is not a takeover so regular trios are still available to play. There will be two more Limited Time Modes coming to the game after the Collection event.

Celebrate the dawn of a new year in the Celestial Sunrise Collection Event! 🌤

Starting Jan 24, put your skills to the ultimate test in the new limited-time mode Hardcore Royale, collect all-new cosmetics, and more.

Apex Legends Celestial Sunrise Collection Event Items

Players are able to unlock 24 limited-time cosmetics with Legendary skins for Octane, Pathfinder, Caustic, Ash, and more. They will be available in exchange for Apex Coins or Crafting Metals and in Celestial Sunrise Event Apex Packs for the duration of the whole event.

Unlock all of the cosmetics before the event ends to automatically receive the Jadeite Retribution, a Reactive Peacekeeper Skin.

    Apex Legends Reward Tracker

Players can earn up to 1,600 points per day and the challenges will refresh daily. The challenges will stack with the Battle Pass, which allows players to complete multiple challenges at once.

    Apex Legends New Store Tab

The Store tab will offer limited-time offers including the Opalescent and Lion’s Guard Bundles. There is also the Galatic Guardian Bundle that will be available starting January 24 to 27, 2023. The Wise Warrior Bundle will be available starting January 31 until February 3, 2023.

    Upcoming LTM Date Night

After completing the Celestial Sunrise event on February 7, 2023, there will be a new LTM called Date Night, which takes over Duo. It will include a new healing mechanic exclusive to this mode. Use any healing item to show an area around the Legend. If the Duos partner is in the area when one completes healing, they will also receive the effects of the item.

Date Night will include a Limited Time Weapon called The Heart Stealer. This is a different variant of the Bocek Bow which heals players a percentage of the damage the players make.

Apex Legends is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
