Apex Legends Hits Over 198,000 Concurrent Players on Steam

A new report recently revealed that Respawn Entertainment’s free-to-play battle royale Apex Legends still retains its popularity until now.

According to website SteamDB, the game has gotten 198,235 concurrent players on Steam. This was recorded last Saturday and this is its highest concurrent user peak since its launch. This meant it became one of the most popular games to play compared to others like Grand Theft Auto V and Rainbow Six Siege.

Since its launch on Steam last November 5, 2020, it got the fourth highest concurrent count five days afterwards. This was a great feat on Steam since it was achieved in just five days, which was a short time compared to other games that took a while.

It seems one of the factors that made it popular is the current Two-Year Anniversary Collection event. It is clearly attracting more players to the game.

Apex Legends is now available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. A Nintendo Switch version will be released this coming March 9.
