Apex Legends Devs to Remove Low Profile and Make Changes with Octane

Apex Legends

Game studio Respawn Entertainment recently shared that the developers are planning to remove low profile and Octane is getting some changes.

The game actually has something called the Low Profile, which makes smaller heroes take five percent more damage per hit. They are now planning this soon when the next season, Legacy, finally launches.

The opposite perk called Fortified was given to the bigger Legends like Gibraltar and Caustic since they have bigger hitboxes. It seems Low profile is not able to offset it anymore, so they are finally ditching that.

“My goal is to remove it from every character in the game eventually, but we gotta figure out how to nerf Lifeline before we can do that,” Respawn lead designer Daniel Klein said on Reddit after removing it from Pathfinder. After that, they are also removing it from other Legends like Wraith, Lifeline, and Wattson.

Octane is also getting some changes, but it will be a nerf. “We’re carefully touching Octane a little bit because Octane’s a lot of fun, and I don’t want to take your fun away. But one in four picks in [battle royale] right now is a little much.”

Apex Legends is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Legacy launches on May 4.
