Game publisher EA and developer Respawn Entertainment has officially announced that popular online shooter battle royale Apex Legends is finally coming to Steam.
The game will be launching on Steam as planned, which will be on November 4. It will come with the Season 7 launch. Game Director Chad Grenier encourages newcomers to join and play the game on the platform if they are interested. Also Origin players can go to Steam as well because all of their account progression and unlocks will carry over between the two platforms.
Grenier also announced that the Nintendo Switch version release will be pushed to another date. Their team needs more time to give the Switch players the game experience that they deserve. Also that the global pandemic has made it worse for them to make progress with development, so they do not want to rush things out. The Switch release will be coming next year.
The game director assures that the Switch version will support cross-platform play, the latest season content, and full feature parity with other versions of the game.
Apex Legends is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Origins.
