Apex Legends Team Deathmatch Gets Quick Hotfix After Backlash

Respawn Entertainment has now released a new quick hotfix for Apex Legends Team Deathmatch after it got tons of complaints recently.

In a new announcement today on the official Twitter account of Respawn Entertainment, the developers have now made some changes with a new quick hotfix for Apex Legends. The Apex Legends Team Deathmatch was a blast but unfortunately, some did not like how it was set up so there will be some adjustments.

The first adjustment is the rule of having three rounds for each match. The developers felt that it made the matches too long so they are now reducing it to one round only. The kill count required to win has been increased from 30 to 50.

Do note that the UI will be inaccurate after these new changes got implemented. These errors will be fixed in future updates so players are asked to be patient for a while.

Aside from these already implemented changes, Respawn is still planning to add some quality of life improvements in the future like:

    • Ending the match when one team completely leaves so remaining team wins
    • Adding in a penalty for abandoning matches similar to the penalty in Control

Apex Legends is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
