Unexpected Batman Arkham Knight Update Adds Robert Pattinson’s Batman Suit, Quickly Gets Pulled

I AM VENGEANCE - Matt Reeves The Batman

Batman Arkham Knight is one of the biggest Batman games released back in 2015. After receiving numerous high-rating reviews and awards, the game seemingly had new content added after 8 long years. But as suddenly as it appeared, the random addition was quickly removed for reasons unknown.

In this supposed new update, Robert Pattinson’s suit from 2022’s The Batman was reportedly added and then subsequently removed from Batman: Arkham Knight on Epic Games Store. At the time of writing, no word yet if the update did go live on PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam storefront.

Multiple Twitter/X accounts posted screenshots and videos and many have noticed that the suit had been added to the game unexpectedly. With the recreation of one of the biggest Batman movies of 2022, fans were dumbfounded, including me, as to how well-detailed and perfected the suit is. But as stated, the update was removed quietly.

According to multiple sources, this Batman suit was supposed to be added to the Nintendo Switch for its upcoming Batman remastered game, Arkham Trilogy which will be released on December 1, 2023. Its release was delayed from its original date of October 13. The game’s official Twitter/X account had the following message for fans.

“More time is needed to bring players the best possible experience on Nintendo Switch. We apologize to fans who are excited to play this version of the trilogy. Thank you for your patience.”

Fans speculated that the update was released prematurely and that it was marked for a later date after an announcement was made. This may also explain why Epic Games Store pulled the content without warning.

No comment as to why the update was suddenly released as neither Warner Bros. Games nor Rocksteady Studios have yet to make an official announcement. Rocksteady is still hard at work ironing out Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League in time for its now February 2, 2024 release.
