A new leaked photo has revealed some important information about Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon’s multiplayer mode.

Armored Core VI Photo from Japanese Store Display

Reddit user EntertainmentMission recently posted on the Armored Core subreddit a photo of what they claim to be a photo of the game’s box that was shot in a Japanese store. Japanese stores usually display empty boxes for upcoming games.

According to photos taken in Japan storefronts AC6 will support up to 6-player multiplayer + 3 spectators

    Number of Players Confirmed

The photo revealed the back of the box of the game and it says that the game will support online multiplayer for 2-6 players. In another section, it also states that there will be extra players that can spectate during missions. “Supports up to 6 players. Up to 9 people can participate at the same time, including spectators.”

    Upcoming Gameplay Livestream

From Software will be showcasing new Armored Core VI gameplay this coming Tuesday during a live stream. The company will probably confirm the multiplayer feature during that time.

During The Game Awards 2022, the sixth title of the Armored Core series was announced. This is the first entry in more than a decade since the previous game was released way back in 2012. Since then, a few trailers were released including a few months ago when Bandai Namco revealed the first gameplay trailer. It was also confirmed that the game will be released on August 25, 2023.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
