A new report has revealed that Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Remake is in the works.

    Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Remake

Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag has been one of the most popular Assassin’s Creed titles due to its one mechanic: naval battles. The main focus of this title is blowing up and sinking ships in challenging ways which makes it very enticing for the fans of the franchise as it was a breath of fresh air. While there were other titles with naval battles, Black Flag had the best gameplay mechanics of them all. It was so popular that it inspired Ubisoft to start the project Skull and Bones, which is still in development right now.

Skull and Bones Developers Helping Out

According to Kotaku, it was revealed that this upcoming new remake is currently in the works and the guys from Skull and Bones are involved. It claims that the remake is still in its earliest stages. It is not expected to be complete for at least a few years.

Why AC Black Flag Was Chosen?

Unfortunately, no other details have been shared. It is interesting though for the reason for choosing Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is going to bring back the good old days of the classics, but they chose Black Flag to be remade. It could be due to the naval battle gameplay they want to remake it for modern consoles and since it sold well, the developers are hoping it could get them a lot of sales too.

Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag is allegedly being remade.
