The upcoming video game Assassin’s Creed Codename Red is reportedly going to release sometime next year.
It has been spotted that Ubisoft has been looking for commercial partners for the upcoming Japan-set title. It was posted on LinkedIn earlier this year that the Ubisoft business development and brand partnership executive Arisa Lagunzad said that the company was looking for a Japanese partner to work on the biggest blockbuster of 2024. This has now changed with some edits.
Access The Animus spotted the changes today noting that the changes made were to remove the mention of the year 2024. The original Japanese text before the edit did state that Ubisoft is looking for a partner for the upcoming game for next year. That meant that it could still be launched sometime next year. The edit might be to hide that fact or some changes were made.
Others have reported that both Google Translation and online translation tool DeepL say that the game is set to launch sometime in 2024. This actually confirms the early reports that claim the game will launch next year. It did say that the development of the game is going well and it will have two playable characters and a focus on stealth.
No official word yet from Ubisoft.
