A new report suggests that Assassin’s Creed Infinity is the next AC title and it will be different from the rest.

AC Infinity is currently the codename for the next game of the series, according to the reports from media outlet Bloomberg. It was revealed that it is currently in development at Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Quebec. It is said to be an “evolving online platform” that will have multiple historical settings.

The report states that it will be a live service platform that will be connected by individual parts, but it will look and feel different. Think of it like how Fortnite works, but in a Ubisoft way.

Both Ubisoft Quebec and Montreal are said to be united now and are working on this new game. Each team will still have its own creative director, but Quebec will be leading the whole group.

Assassins’ Creed Infinity is currently in development, and no word when it will be announced officially.

Update: Ubisoft officially confirms the game in early development. Here’s a statement that might confirm the live service model:

Rather than continuing to pass the baton from game to game, we profoundly believe this is an opportunity for one of Ubisoft’s most beloved franchises to evolve in a more integrated and collaborative manner that’s less cantered on studios and more focused on talent and leadership, no matter where they are within Ubisoft
