Ubisoft has expressed its joy on Twitter/X, sharing that the company’s latest release, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, is the biggest launch this generation — for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in unit sales.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage returned to the franchise’s original roots, putting stealth and assassinations back as its core gameplay. This direction led to many fans praising the game despite the PC version’s technical issues.
“We are proud to also share that Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the biggest New Gen launch in terms of unit sales to date at Ubisoft (PS5, Xbox Series-S),” according to the official Ubisoft Twitter/X page. Ubisoft thanked their Bordeaux Studio and its partners for their accomplishment with Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
The company also shared that there have been 479 collective years spent parkouring the rooftops of Baghdad, 60 million Leaps of Faith, and 1.2 million street cats pet — that’s a lot of petting.
It’s worth noting that according to our review of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, this latest installment has “truly delivered an assassin simulator game that we all loved from the beginning.”
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and it will be available on iPhone 15 in early 2024.
