Larian Studios has announced the Baldur’s Gate 3 PS5 preload date.
According to the studio, PS5 players will be able to preload Baldur’s Gate 3 this coming August 31, 2023. They will be able to download the game ahead of the official launch, but it will not be playable yet once done. It will just let players download the assets ahead so they will not have to wait for the game to download on launch day. Digital Deluxe Edition buyers can preload the game from 16:00 UTC while Standard Edition buyers can do this on September 4, 2023 at the same time.
Digital Deluxe Edition buyers can gain early access to the game on September 2, 2023 at 16:00 UTC. The official standard release date is on September 6, 2023 at the same time.
The game on PC has a file size of around 122GB so the PS5 version might more or less have the same size as well.
PS5 players will be able to enjoy all of the post-PC launch hotfixes including todays launch of Hotfix 4.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently available on PC and will be releasing on PS5 this coming September 6, 2023.
