A new classification rating might have just revealed the possible main villain of upcoming video game sequel Bayonetta 3.
Bayonetta 3 Rating Summary Reveals Main Villain
Just last month, Nintendo and PlatinumGames finally announced the release date of Bayonetta 3, which is on October 28, 2022, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. With the launch approaching, fans are now crawling the internet for more information about the game and it seems a rating board website might give them what they want. In particular, it might have just revealed the big baddie of the game.
The Singularity
The Australian Classification Rating Board website has recently shared some basic information about Bayonetta 3, which is a short summary of its story. It mentions the homunculi and another new name: the Singularity. It is a being of absolute evil and it is seeking to destroy various “worlds” (this finally makes the other “Bayonetta” appearance make sense now). Bayonetta’s task is to travel to this Thule island in order to prevent this being from completing its plans.
Here is a full description from the website:
Bayonetta 3 is an action adventure game in which human characters travel through a series of fantasy environments, battling monsters called Homunculi and an evil being known as Singularity. Players must make their way to an island, Thule, in order to prevent Singularity from destroying the known worlds.
Online Features Downgrade
Aside from the big reveal, the website also shared details about the game’s online features. It says that players will be able to share scores for specific chapters within the game, but has no mention of coop gameplay. Bayonetta 2’s coop online multiplayer might not make it in the sequel.
Bayonetta 3 launches on October 28, 2022 exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
