Borderlands 3 To Launch Free Halloween Event This Week

Game publisher 2K recently divulged some new information about the recently launched video game sequel Borderlands 3.

    Borderlands 3 Halloween event details

The upcoming Halloween event for the game is called the Bloody Harvest and it will be the first free content drop for the game. This can be accessed if players have already unlocked Sanctuary III.

The event will start with a large and talkative lizard person named Maurice that is now on the ship. Creative director Paul Sage said that he will be the guide for all of the game’s seasonal content.

Bloody Harvest will launch off on the planet called Heck. In order to gain access to that planet, players must complete a quest provided by Maurice. Once they arrive, they will be fighting off a horde of zombified Maliwan soldiers, a bloodthirsty Ratch, and the fire-breathing Rakk-o-Lanterns. The final boss will be Captain Haunt who has a glowing head.

This event will introduce a new terror debuff that haunted enemies can use to blur the player’s vision, which can make aiming at enemies difficult. Anointed weapons will be the trick weapon to use that can be dropped by enemies on Heck. It can turn the terror debuff into a benefit instead.

A new legendary shotgun called Fearmonger will be introduced and seasonal cosmetic items will be available for each of the four Vault Hunter classes in the game. Players will get those rewards by completing a new set of Bloody Harvest-exclusive challenges.

The event will launch on Oct. 24 and will end on Dec. 5.

The game is already available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It will also be available on Google Stadia.
