Bungie Rumored Developing Free-to-Play Game

Bungie has opened a job listing and it has a clue.

A new rumor suggests that game company Bungie is currently working on a new ambitious IP and it seems to be a free-to-play game.

There was word from before that the game developer behind Halo and Destiny has been working on a new IP, but no specifics were uncovered. This time around, a new job listing advert was found and it seems to suggest what the new game could be.

According to media outlet The GamePost, this new job listing advert was for a Senior Marketing Manager. There were two sections that specified skills needed for the job. Below the “Nice-to-Have Skills” there was a line that said “Experience with enterprise scale live operations, games as a service, MMO, F2P, and mobile. This could be the hint that everyone has been waiting for.

With this clue, it seems to confirm that the next IP will be a free-to-play game. It does have the other requirements for experience like GaaS or games as a service, MMO, and mobile, but F2P seems to make more sense.

Is Bungie really going for the free-to-play route? Take this with a grain of salt for now.
