Wild Hearts lets you change appearance early on during your playthrough. However, you might feel like you’re missing out on some unique customization options after spending several hours in the game, but don’t fret. This guide will cover everything you need to know about how to freely change your appearance in Wild Hearts.
How do you change your appearance in Wild Hearts?
After character creation, players can still change their character’s appearance by unlocking the Looking Glass Karakuri. Players can interact with this mirror-like kiosk to bring up the character creation screen again and change appearance freely.
How to Unlock and Use the Looking Glass?
On your Karakuri tree, the Looking Glass can be unlocked for 1,500 Kemono Orbs. This is done by opening the map menu, clicking the Karakuri tab at the top of the screen, and finally clicking the Hunter’s Tent Karakuri at the very top of the upgrade tree. The Looking Glass can be accessed by scrolling down 17 times. See the image below for reference:
Building a Looking Glass Dragon Karakuri will set you back 50 Earth, which is a hefty sum in my opinion. It is recommended to place one inside Minato, where elemental constraints do not apply. Thus, you are free to set down an unlimited number of Karakuri.
You’ll be prompted to “Look Through” as you approach the Looking Glass Dragon Karakuri. If you do that, you can alter your appearance and name without incurring any fees. You can customize your hunter however you’d like, as changing your appearance works just like during the tutorial stage’s character creation.
