Game developer Torn Banner Studios has announced the new release date for Chivalry 2.
The game will now launch in 2021 in order to have simultaneous releases on PC (Epic Games Store), Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
The studio is aiming to make it the greatest game it can be and to realize their vision of a true sequel to the original game.
Another reason for the delay is their new working schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They have shifting their schedules to utilize this additional time to better meet their core goals for the sequel. They also want incorporate all of the improvements and include the originally post-launch content during day one release.
All maps and game features that were supposed to be post-launch will now be on day one. Horses, however, will be available after the launch.
