How to unlock the Petrified Giant IV? quest
The Petrified Giant IV? quest becomes available after completing the Petrified Giant III quest.
Petrified Giant IV Objectives
Similar to the previous quest, you will need to descend into the deepest part of the Fire Mine, where the Fire Guardian seal has been kept. There are a total of 40 levels in the mine, with floors that have bonuses on every 5th and 10th floor.
You can find chests on these floors with the following rewards:
- 10th: x10 Explosive III
- 20th: Flameguard Greatsword
- 30th: Blessed Opal Ring
- 40th: x25 Explosive III
The rocks in the Fire Mine are usually broken after 2-3 hits from the Silver Pickaxe, so it’s recommended to upgrade to the Gold Pickaxe to make some of the rocks easier to break. Most of the ores that you will get from this mine are Osmium Ores.
After reaching the final floor, approach the seal, and it will break. The chieftain will then find Giu behind the seal who then gets set free. As you go back to the cavern entrance, all the Giants reunite and head back to their village for some rest and the quest will be completed.
