In a recent investor report released by game studio CD Projekt RED, it was revealed that controversial video game Cyberpunk 2077 has sold more than 13 million copies.
The new number of sold copies was recorded as of December 20. This covers both physical and digital sales across all platforms worldwide. This also covers the refunds that many have asked, which was also in the report.
This figure represents the estimated volume of retail sales across all hardware platforms (factoring in returns submitted by retail clients in brick-and-mortar as well as digital storefronts), i.e. the “sell-through” figure, less all refund requests e-mailed directly to the Company by the publication date of this report in the framework of the “Help Me Refund” campaign.
Despite its buggy launch and currently numerous issues like permanently corrupted saves, some players are still fascinated in playing the game. Most of the time though angry fans are bashing the game for its problems, while others are hoping that it will have its redemption once the major patches are added next year.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on Xbox One and PC. PS4 digital version got pulled out from the PSN Store, but physical copies are still sold worldwide.
