Cyberpunk 2077 leans heavy on its narrative influenced by player choices. Depending on what you do, say, and befriend the road waiting for you ahead is your own to carve.
Not all endings in Cyberpunk 2077 are so clear however. There are certain requirements to unlocking specific endings. While avoiding as much spoilers as we can, here is how to unlock all endings in Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077 All Endings
Cyberpunk 2077 has a total of 5 different endings. They’ll vary depending on who you romanced, what side jobs you finished, and what dialogue options you picked.
Besides the 4 default endings, there is one secret ending that is really challenging to get. And if you want that ending, you’ll have to do quite a few things specifically.
Does Life Path Affect the Ending?
At the beginning of the game, you’ll have your option of picking a Life Path who V is at the start of Cyberpunk 2077. This doesn’t at all affect the ending. Life Paths only really affect certain dialogue choices. The narrative is the same regardless.
Cyberpunk 2077 Point of No Return
There’s comes a point in the story where you’ll be locked out of its side content. You’ll be given a warning before your meeting with Hanako at Embers in a main job called Nocturne Op55N1. Once you start this mission, there is no going back.
After beating the game, you’ll be given the chance to save your file. You’ll be taken back to before Nocturne Op55N1 to complete any side activity and once again talk to Hanako to get a different ending.
Cyberpunk 2077 How to Unlock All Endings
Here is how to get each ending.
Ending 1 – Hanako’s Path (Trust Arasaka)
If you haven’t done any side jobs in the game, then Hanako’s Path is an option that is always available to players no matter the path chosen.
When you get the call to meet Hanako and Embers, you should pick the option of trusting her. There are two dialogue choices you need to pick.
- “Think trusting Arasaka is risky but worth it.”
- Take omega blockers. “Yeah. Don’t be mad.”
These will lock your path towards this ending. You’ll have to complete a series of final missions before you eventually reach an epilogue mission called “Where Is My Mind” where you’re asked to make one final choice.
Ending 2 – Ask Rogue for Help
This ending specifically requires that you do every side job related to Johnny Silverhand. There are three missions that you need to complete to get this ending.
- Tapeworm
- Chippin’ In
- Blistering Love
You have to complete those missions before meeting Hanako at Embers or else you’ll be locked out of this ending entirely. Your first job with Johnny’s questline will be Chippin’ In which Johnny himself will give to you after speaking to him during a Side Job called Tapeworm.
The beginning of Nocturne Op55N1 will go as usual. However, the moment you reach the rooftop you’ll have the option to let Johnny loose in your body and storm Arasaka with Rogue assisting him. These are the two dialogue options you need to pick for this ending.
- “Think you and Rogue should go.”
- Take pseudoendotrizine. “I am. Do your thing, Johnny.”
This ending presents you with the option of two epilogue in the final moments of the game. You can either get “Path of Glory” or “New Dawn Fades.”
Ending 3 – Ask Panam for Help
This ending specifically requires that you assist the Aldecaldos before your meeting with Hanako at Embers. There are four side jobs you need to complete in order to get Panam’s help.
- Life During Wartime
- Riders on the Storm
- With a Little Help From My Friends
- Queen of the Highway
After you’ve finished these missions, you can proceed to meet with Hanako at Embers which will start Nocturne Op55N1. It will proceed like the other two endings except you now have the option to call for Panam when you reach the rooftop.
Near the very end, you’ll get one last choice that’ll determine the epilogue you get. This ending has you get either “New Dawn Fades” or “All Along The Watchtower.”
Ending 4 – Taking Matters Into Your Own Hands (Suicide Ending)
This ending, like Hanako’s Ending, requires no side jobs completed. It can be finished by picking certain dialogue options during your meeting with Hanako at Embers.
- “Could also put this all to rest.”
- Toss pills. “I know. Exactly what we’re gonna do.”
This is the Path of Least Resistance. It will contain only one ending and no epilogue at all.
Ending 5 – Don’t Fear The Reaper (Secret Ending)
Don’t Fear The Reaper is the secret ending of Cyberpunk 2077. It requires that you do certain things right before your meeting with Hanako at Embers. You specifically have to complete side jobs related to Johnny Silverhand.
- Tapeworm
- Chippin’ In
- Blistering Love
This ending is closely similar to calling Rogue for help. However, unlike Ending 2, Don’t Fear The Reaper requires that you have a positive relationship with Johnny. It can be difficult to tell, but you need to be at least 70% relationship with Silverhand. If you don’t want to do that or just want to be absolutely sure, you can opt to select certain dialogue instead during the side job, Chippin’ In.
- “Let’s do something about that.” Inscribe Johnny’s initials.
- “The Guy who Saved My Life.”
- “Nah, fucked that up too.”
- “What do you want from me?”
- “OK. But as second chances go, this is your last.”
- “You were a real dick in the beginning.”
- “When you said you let down your friends…”
- “Yeah, I’ll call Rogue.”
During the elevator ride when you meet with Hanako at Embers, there’s a specific thing you have to do to lock yourself in this ending. After you tell Johnny “You and Rogue should go.”
You should then wait five minutes before selecting any option. If you pause long enough on the balcony while evaluating your other options, this path is accessible.
Johnny will then speak up. He’ll tell you that there’s another solution. You can then respond with “Let’s hear this plan.” And now you’ve officially unlocked Don’t Fear the Reaper secret ending.
The Arasaka tower can be stormed solo by talking to Johnny, who will give you the option of “going out with a bang”. This is the most difficult combat in the game, and if you die, the end credits will play. Even if you fail, however, you’ll still walk away feeling like a badass and knowing that you’ve done it.
Calling Love Interests Before The End
At a certain point near the end, Johnny will make a suggestion to say your final goodbyes to anyone you potentially romanced. This of course does require that you got close to any of Cyberpunk 2077’s romantic prospects.
This choice will only affect the ending slightly. It won’t make much of a difference but it might still be nice to have that special someone before the game’s ending.
- Call You Romantic Partner – V will call their partner regarding saying goodbye as they aren’t sure if they’ll even survive. Doing this will make your partner give a minor appearance during one of the game’s epilogues depending on which one you picked.
- Don’t Say Goodbye – if you never romanced anyone or simply don’t want to call them, then they won’t show on the epilogue.
Cyberpunk 2022 Ending Rewards
Each ending will reward you with an equipment which you can choose to wear after reloading a save. What reward you get depends on the epilogue.
- Where Is My Mind epilogue will reward you with Johnny’s Tank Top and Johnny’s Aviators.
- All Along the Watchtower epilogue will reward you with Aldecaldos Rally Bolero Jacket.
In Cyberpunk 2077, the Aldecaldos Rally Bolero Jacket is an Outer Torso armor with +104.8 Armor on your stats. There will be a number of characteristics in armor that allow you to express yourself visually, and these features will have an impact on gameplay, storyline, and character relationships.
For example, how you dress and how you appear to NPCs will have an impact on the story. The character’s personality is reflected in the character’s style and appearance.
- New Dawn Fades epilogue will reward you with both the Aldecaldos Rally Bolero Jacket and Liberty PRIDE.
In Cyberpunk 2077, the Liberty PRIDE is a well-known iteration of the Constitutional Arms Liberty pistol. Liberty, Rogue Amendiares’ trademark weapon, is available in a variety of blue hues.
In addition to increasing Crit Chance and Headshot Damage, it also has a slight chance of applying the Stun status-effect, making it a very useful weapon.
Is There New Game Plus?
Despite being able to earn these rewards upon loading a save, there is no new game plus to speak of. Perhaps it’ll come in a future update but that has yet to be announced by CD Projekt Red.
