Game studio CD Projekt RED is getting another class action lawsuit due to the controversial and messy launch of video game Cyberpunk 2077.
This is the second lawsuit that the game studio has received and it is similar to the one late last year. This is also coming from the US.
According to the announcement posted on the studio’s official website, the class action lawsuit alleges that the studio has mislead the investors about the state of the game on last-gen consoles. The Legal Basis written is Art. 17 item 1 of the Market Abuse Regulation.
The complaint did not specify the quantity of damages sought by the complainant. In response, CD Projekt Red will “undertake vigorous action to defend itself against any such claims.” Just like the previous lawsuit.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PlayStation 4 (physical), Xbox One, and PC. Xbox Series X/S and PS5 will be released later on.
