CD Projekt RED has recently released the new Cyberpunk 2077 DLSS 3 PC update today.
Cyberpunk 2077 DLSS 3 PC Update Only for Software Support
This new software update will add support for the Nvidia DLSS 3 and Nvidia Reflex on compatible hardware, according to the official Twitter account of Cyberpunk 2077. Now for those who were hoping that this would have changed the version of the game and thinking this was update 1.7, this is not what you have hoped for, unfortunately. This is just additional software support for DLSS 3. The game version will still stay as version 1.61.
DLSS 3 Support Benefits
DLSS 3 will allow GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics cards to render at up to twice the frame rate over what the CPU is able to compute. What it does with Cyberpunk 2077 is a big improvement in total gaming performance, which then offers faster frame rates, quick responsiveness, and great image quality.
Only RTX 30 Cards Benefit
Players who own RTX 40 cards will be able to highly-benefit from this new software support released by CDPR. Unfortunately, previous Nvidia cards will not work with this new support. Reflex support, on the other hand, should have worked with lower-tiered cards, at least with the RTX 30s. Some players are already complaining about why the RTX 40 cards get the REFLEX support but not the older generation.
