Game studio CD Projekt RED has now named a new game director for controversial video game Cyberpunk 2077.
The one that got the position is Gabriel Amatangelo after former Quest Director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz stepped down from it and left the studio.
Amatangelo was actually the Creative Director for the game and joined the studio way back in January 2020. Before that, he had joined Dragon Age: Inquisition DLC as design director and the lead designer for various expansions on Star Wars: The Old Republic.
The new game director will be the one to take the lead in the development of upcoming new expansions.
Adam Badowski, the former game director, will be focusing on other leadership duties inside the company. They are trying to implement CD Projekt’s RED 2.0 transition, which will make them change strategies so that they can developer multiple AAA titles in parallel.
No details yet on when Cyberpunk 2077 will return to the PlayStation Store.
