CD Projekt RED has recently shared some new details about the upcoming expansion Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty.
CDPR Director Gabriel Amatangelo recently spoke with IGN to talk about the big changes the game gets with the expansion Phantom Liberty. One of those big changes is vehicle combat, which is actually helpful in certain situations.
According to Amatangelo, vehicle combat is important as players go from location to location. There are various dynamic events that can happen in Dogtown like airdrops or caravans that players need to intercept. They can do this on foot, but if they do this in vehicles, they can pull out an SMG, do drive-bys on a bike, or slash the guards with the Katana blade. After defeating all guards, they can claim the supplies or the stash which will include various goodies like guns, gear, and more.
Amatangelo did say that inside these supplies and airdrops will be random items to acquire. “It’s a surprise. It’s a RPG.” He also said that there are also little story segments and some Easter eggs.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty expansion launches on September 26, 2023 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
