Cyberpunk Franchise to Flourish as CD Projekt RED is Fully Committed

CD Projekt RED has recently released a statement in regards to its plans for the future of the Cyberpunk franchise.

It seems the Cyberpunk franchise will continue to flourish beyond Cyberpunk 2077 as CDPR is committed to further developing it. Even though Cyberpunk 2077 had problems during launch, it does not mean it will stop there as they have plans for more content and possibly going beyond video games. This has started with the new Netflix series, Cyberpunk Edgerunner.

CDPR Vice President of Business Development Michal Nowakowski said in the company’s latest earnings call this: “We’re totally, fully committed to developing the Cyberpunk IP further.” He also acknowledged the time and effort that the team put into developing Cyberpunk 2077. The studio will be building upon what has already been done today with more stories, more experiences, and new content.

The studio has also been working on the board game that is based on Cyberpunk 2077, which is planned to be released sometime in July 2023.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
