Behaviour Interactive finally revealed the promised new details of the upcoming Dead by Daylight: Alien DLC.

Dead by Daylight: Alien DLC Available on Public Test Build

It has been confirmed that the Dead by Daylight: Alien DLC collaboration has been requested by fans for years already. It has been revealed that starting today, players can now download the Public Test Build and experience two iconic franchises coming together.

    About the DLC

The story starts as the Xenomorph becomes the latest Killer that will join the Fog together with Ellen Ripley, who in turn becomes the newest Survivor. The new location will be set against the eerie backdrop of the Nostromo Wreckage. Fans will be going into the depths of space and either try their best to dominate their prey or make it out alive.

Dead by Daylight: Alien DLC Release Date

Dead by Daylight: Alien will be released on all platforms on August 29, 2023.

“Alien has been and continues to be one of the best sci-fi stories ever told – and to be able to collaborate with 20th Century Games on bringing this story into Dead by Daylight is a privilege for all of us at Behaviour Interactive,” says Mathieu Côté, Head of Partnerships for Behaviour Interactive.

    Stealthy Killer Xenomorph

The Xenomorph is a stealthy Killer which is quick and powerful. It can strike Survivors with its razor-sharp tail and easily take them down. Its Power is called the Runner Mode allows the Killer to walk on four legs and become stealthier, reducing its Terror Radius considerably.

“What a gift to bring such an icon of horror into Dead by Daylight”, says Dave Richard, Creative Director for Dead by Daylight. “Its appearance is so striking, so fear-inducing in itself…but to have it in our game also delivering on horrifying surprise moments really opens the door for fun strategic gameplay. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished with this Chapter.”

    New Map Function

The Xenomorph also comes with a new interactive Map function, the Control Stations. Seven Control Stations are scattered across the Map and Survivors can interact with these stations to get a new Tool, the Remote Flame Turret. The Xenomorph can enter and exit the tunnels underneath the Control Station.

“Creating the Xenomorph’s Tunnel system was very challenging as we had never created a sub- level that could only be accessible to the Killer”, explains Janick Neveu, Game Designer on Dead by Daylight. “This new mechanic grants it Map-wide mobility and definitely amps up the scare factor – which feels very connected to the original character.”

Dead by Daylight: Alien will be available for purchase on August 29, 2023 on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
