Dead Island 2 – All Zombie Parts & Where to Get Them

Zombie parts are essential to a Slayer’s success against the hordes of the Undead. They are used to craft mods and perks. Think of it as using the zombies’ assets against themselves, and to great effect.

This guide will list down all the zombie parts you can expect to find out there in Hell-A. We will also tell which zombies carry the parts and where you should aim to improve your odds of getting them.

List of Zombie Parts in Dead Island 2

One thing to note, though: The inventory limit for each part is set at 99 individual pieces. Your character won’t be able to hold more than that. As such, here are all the zombie parts you can pick up in Dead Island 2:

Bloated Spleen

Chthonic Ichor

  • Description: “Zombie flesh saturated with a corrosive liquid that, when distilled, can melt through most organic materials with ease.”

  • Tip: MAIMING Slobber arms best way to improve the chances of a drop.

Toxic Gallbladder

  • Description: “An inflamed gallbladder filled with greasy toxic bile, particularly useful when fabricating weapon upgrades.”

Infected Flesh

Flammable Flude

  • Description: “A thick, viscous fluid secreted by some zombies, highly flammable when exposed to air.”

Blast Gland

  • Description: “A mutated organ containing two chambers filled with chemicals, when combined, these fluids react to cause an explosion.”

Leaky Implants

  • Description: “Damaged silicone implants, harvested from zombies with plastic surgery-enhanced body parts.”

Screamer Lungs

  • Description: “Swollen lungs harvested from a Screamer. The tissue inside is far spongier than that found in normal lungs.”

  • Tip: MAIMING the body seems to be the most effective way of increasing the chances of dropping this zombie part.

Infected Blood

Infected Spine

  • Description: “A zombie’s spinal column, filled with infected fluid.”
  • Obtained form:
    • Voltaic Screamers
    • Mutators
    • Screamers
  • Tip: Go for the head. Decapitating the aforementioned targets improves the chance of a drop.

Infected sinew

  • Description: “Unusually strong zombie connective tissue and gristle.”
  • Obtained from:
    • Inferno Crushers
    • Mutators
    • Crushers

Insect Larvae

  • Description: “Flesh-eating insect larvae that infest some particularly rotten zombies.”
  • Obtained from:
    • Swarm Walkers
    • Putrified Slobbers
  • Tip: Swarm Walkers have a higher chance of dropping these zombie parts compared to Putrified Slobbers.

Electrified Brain

  • Description: “Highly charged gray matter from this brain can be removed and used in fabrication.”
  • Obtained from:
    • Voltaic Screamers
  • Tip: Go for the head. Even shooting their heads off works and increases the chance of a drop.

Regenerating Tissue

  • Description: “A lump of flesh that continues to repair itself long after separation from its zombie host body.”
  • Obtained from:
    • Butchers
    • Vicious Butchers

Blade Arm

  • Description: “A razor-sharp piece of bone contorted into the shape of a blade”
  • Obtained from:
    • Butchers
    • Mutators
    • Vicious Butchers
  • Tip: This zombie part is a common drop from Butchers. Best to focus on surviving before entertaining thoughts of harvesting them.

Mutated Heart

Mutated Heart - List of Zombie Parts in Dead Island 2
  • Description: “An abnormally large, mutated zombie heart encased in thick, sinewy muscle growth.”
  • Obtained from:
    • Mutators
  • Tip: The mutated heart is a pure chance drop. But if you kill a Mutator before the transformation process kicks in, you’ll save yourself a lot of headaches.
