Deadpool 3 star Ryan Reynolds has officially revealed a first look at Wolverine and Deadpool with a new photo.
Reynolds recently posted in an Instagram post a photo showing both him and Hug Jackman in Deadpool and the new Wolverine costume. While Deadpool’s costume seems to be the same as usual, Wolverine is finally taking up the mantle of the most wanted costume of the X-Men: the yellow and blue costume from the X-Men comics.
In previous films, Jackman’s Wolverine has never worn a comic-accurate costume before, which frustrated many fans. He has never been seen wearing a mask either, which is an iconic feature of Wolverine’s costume in both comics and cartoons. This has now changed with his latest portrayal but it seems he is still not wearing the mask. Reynolds did promise that Deadpool 3 will have comic accurate wardrobe so it would only be a matter of time before we finally get to see Wolverine if full costume with the mask. Must be saving it up for a surprise.
One to note though: why is Wolverine wearing sleeves? That’s the only difference.
Deadpool 3 is set to be in theaters on May 3, 2023, but its production could be impacted if SAG-AFTRA calls for a strike.
