IS Defense: Another Killing Spree Game from Destructive Creations

After almost a year since the release of their controversial twin-stick genocidal shooter, HATRED — you can read our review of the game here — the people behind the game has recently announced a new title that will come out on April 19, 2016 on Steam and Linux, IS Defense.  The game is a rail-shooter title and it’s based on the year 2020 after when the ISIS took over all of North Africa spreading their mindless killing understanding of the world’s order.

As what Destruction Creations said in their press email, the game is actually their “personal veto against what’s happening in the Middle-east nowadays”. And the other reason why they made IS Defense is to revive a “dead” genre — rail-shooters.

What IS Defense offers the gamers who are interested to buy the game?

    • Upgrades: Rate of Fire, Level of your health, efficiency of the support that players use.
    • Dynamic weather changes that makes part of the game tricky.
    • The turret post can turn 360 degrees as enemies can also attack from all sides.
    • Endless of enemy waves including vehicles,
    • Leaderboard shows how many neutralized enemies you have in a particular mission.
    • Free DLC
    • Mod Support. Couple of days after post-launch.

For an indie game, it actually requires a decent hardware to run the game in minimal settings. You need to have at least 4GB RAM, a first-gen Intel Core i5, and at least a GTX460 or Radeon HD5850. And if you want to run it at max you need to have at least an R9 285 or a GTX670, 8GB of RAM, and a mid-range CPU.

Here are the system requirements of IS Defense:

    Minimum Requirements:

    OS: Microsoft Windows Vista (SP2) with DirectX 11 update (KB971512-x64), Windows® 7 (Service Pack 1) and Windows 8.1 – (64-bit only).

    DirectX: Version 11
Hard Drive: 4 GB available space

Additional Notes: IS Defense will launch only on “64-bit” version of operating system.
