After several complaints, Bungie has started banning Destiny 2 players using third-party peripherals exploiting the game.
There have been a growing number of complaints from fans of Destiny 2 saying that some players are using third-party peripherals that are exploiting the game. These peripherals would give them an advantage over those who are playing fair.
In response, Bungie has announced new rules that will restrict the use of these third-party peripherals and those caught will be banned. The developers clarify that this will apply to any hardware that works to disrupt the “experience the game designers intended”. These new changes will be bringing some major changes to the game soon.
According to some players, these third-party devices can be used on PC and consoles. These devices would run scripts that would give them an advantage in gameplay, specifically improving aim. These include keyboard and mouse adapters and programmable controllers that have macro software and automation via AI. Exempt from the ban are accessibility devices used for disabled gamers that want to play the game.
Destiny 2 is now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
