Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2022 is the second event in which Bungie has incorporated the event card system. It was first implemented during the Solstice event a few months back. By all accounts, it would seem like the event went over well enough that it returns again in Festival of the Lost but with a caveat. The event will go on for 3 weeks. That’s shorter than the last event and puts more pressure on players who simply do not have all that much free time.
This guide will tell you everything you need to know about the Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2022 Event Card Challenges – the list of activities, how to get started, and what your rewards will be for taking part in the event.
You’re going to need the event card in order to participate in the event. Thankfully, the card itself is free for all players to pick up. But you’ll need to finish the “Gone But Not Forgotten” Quest first before getting your hands on the event card.
The quest has 10 steps to it. It lays out all the things you’re going to do for the rest of the event. And it all starts the moment you wear the mask she provides you.
How to Start the Event Card Tracker in Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2022
Once you have the mask equipped, go do a Haunted Lost Sector and return back to her with Candy and pages in hand. She’ll ask you to put the pages you collected into the “Book of the Forgotten”. These are also tied to the event card.
All in all, your rewards for completing Haunted Sector activities are Manifested Pages and Candy. You need those pages to unlock chapters in the “Tales of the Forgotten – Vol. 2”. As for the Candy, you can see those as the general currency you’ll need to purchase items from Eva.
To access the Haunted Sectors Playlist, open the map menu and hover over the Haunted Sectors icon. Or you can access the event menu from the center hub of the Tower over by the tree.

How to Upgrade Festival of the Lost 2022 Event Card
If you want to upgrade your Event Card, you’ll need to spend 1,000 Silver to unlock an Instant Reward Bundle and collect Event Tickets to spend on more rewards. It is worth noting that you can get multiple Instant Reward Bundles per purchase. Also, there is the possibility that these Upgraded Event Card rewards could be added to the Eververse store in the future. You might want to purchase them for Bright Dust, for instance.
Festival of the Lost 2022 Upgraded Event Card Rewards
Instant rewards upon purchase:
- Bobbing For Apples Exotic Emote
- Bold Chapalu Exotic Vehicle
- Angel’s Gleam Legendary Shader
Ticket Exchange rewards:
- Caramel Apple Shell Exotic Ghost Shell (8 Event Tickets)
- Investigative Dance Legendary Emote (5 Event Tickets)
- Pumpkin Bomb Legendary Transmat Effect (2 Event Tickets)
- Sweet Treat Projection Legendary Ghost Projection (2 Event Tickets)
Should You Buy The Upgraded Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost Event Card?
The Upgraded Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost Event Card costs around 1,000 Silver. That’s around $10. That’s totally up to you if you want to get it for those extra goodies. And they don’t contribute much to your Gilded Title. Though you’ll need to progress the Event Card activities in order to get the Event Tickets you need to buy the extra stuff.
My advice is the same as it was back in the Solstice event. Keep participating in the event and collect the tickets you need AND then consider if you want to buy the Upgraded Event Card.
At the very least you’ll instantly get the Bobbing for Apples emote, Bold Chapalu Vehicle, and Angel’s Gleam Shader. So, there’s that.
The Festival of the Lost runs from October 18, 2022, to November 08, 2022. On the final day, it should be online until the start of the weekly reset.
