How can a line of weapons be so extraordinarily ordinary? That pretty much sums up the whole Suros line of weapons. And the newest addition, the Glissando-47, is no different. It is the second Strand scout rifle to be introduced in the game after the Traxippos. There’s no denying that the Traxippos is more exciting in comparison but the Glissando-47 has a surprise or two that most players won’t immediately see.
But before we go any further, let us just say that the sights with the scope glow feel just right for some reason. The Staccato-46 has a similar scope design but it doesn’t highlight targets as well as the Glissando-47. It also has a slightly annoying red dot at the center but that’s whatever. Anyways, let’s get back to the article.
How to Get the Glissando-47 in Destiny 2?
The Glissando-47 is a world drop weapon that players can get after any activity. But here’s the rub. The loot pool for world drop weapons is so deep that the chances of you even getting a few rolls are unlikely. In fact, you would be very lucky to get the god roll for the weapon in the same season that they came out.
Banshee-44 also sells the weapon with rolls that change on a daily and weekly basis. It might be worth checking in on him every once in a while.
Best Glissando-47 PvP God Roll
- 1st Column: Smallbore
- 2nd Column: High-Caliber Rounds
- Range Masterwork
- Targeting Adjuster Mod
- Keep Away + Box Breathing (Box Breathing is an amazing perk on a scout rifle. It has been evident this season on Randy’s Throwing Knife. When coupled with Keep Away, you are able to stay further away from most engagements. This is for the patient Guardian in PvP.)
- Keep Away + Opening Shot (This is the “back of the map” perk combination that’s meant to outrange anything that’s not a Jade Rabbit or a sniper rifle. Though we don’t advise just being a statue. That’s opening yourself up to a quick headshot.)
- Discord + Cascade Point (This is the roll you look for if you want to mess around and surprise the enemy. Precision frames don’t have impressive TTK values. This perk combination changes all that.)
PvP Tip:
If there’s something that precision frames really good at it is consistency. The first two rolls are meant to apply pressure from long distances. Not necessarily for the kill but it will punish anyone foolish enough to peek while injured. The Discord roll, on the other hand, is meant to go for the kill. It’s not a guaranteed kill by any stretch of the imagination but any weapon with Cascade Point is sure to raise some eyebrows.
Also, you don’t need to worry about increasing this weapon’s recoil direction. It is a precision frame meaning that it won’t have much of a problem with deviation.
Best Glissando-47 PvE God Roll
- 1st Column: Fluted Barrel
- Second Column: Appended Mag
- Range Masterwork
- Backup Mag Mod
- Reconstruction + Hatchling (We have yet to see a perk combination like this before. The idea is that you are constantly getting ammo over time, capping at double capacity. So, you’re looking at around 40 bullets at max. And you’re going to use all that ammo to create an army or Threadlings. It won’t help you much with Champions and bosses but that’s something you can say about most scout rifles.)
PvE Tip:
We don’t have many options when it comes to PvE for this weapon. The best we can hope for are rolls that deal precision damage and create threadlings. Other rolls are viable but that’s just scout rifles doing what they do best: picking off targets from the relative safety of the back.
You can make a case for Discord and Cascade Point but we’ve been spoiled by shotguns so much that it’s hard to recommend a version that does the same thing but requires you to actually go for the precision hits.
How good is the Glissando-47 Scout Rifle?
The Glissando-47 is not a must-have weapon for most activities. It’s exactly the same as the Staccato-46 except it’s a Strand scout rifle. It’s a reliable workhorse, for sure. And some players will come to like it. Good luck getting many random rolls outside of Bashee-44. But that’s to be expected at this point.
Suros guns are always in a weird spot. Most players know how good they can potentially be but you won’t ever see them on any top list of most used weapons in any given season. Sadly, it doesn’t look like the Glissando-47 is going to be the one exception to the family of weapons.
These are the Glissando-47 Base Stats before any perks are applied:
- Impact: 62
- Range: 41
- Stability: 46
- Handling: 40
- Reload Speed: 41
- Zoom: 20
- Rounds Per Minute: 180
- Magazine: 16
The Glissando-47 has slightly better stats all around when compared to the Scaccato-46. The biggest difference between them is the fact that the Staccato-46 has better perk combinations overall. While the Glissando-47 has a handful of useful perks, most others are wasted on a primary scout rifle.
3rd column perks
- Discord
- Reconstruction
- No Distractions
- Keep Away
- Perfect Float
- Overflow
4th column perks
- Hatchling
- Harmony
- Box Breathing
- Cascade Point
- One For All
- Opening Shot
And that’s everything we have on the Glissando-47 for right now. Don’t sleep on this weapon, if you can. Its scope clearly highlights targets even through smoke and other on-screen effects. Even the Staccato-46 struggles sometimes on account of the slightly brown tint of the scope. In any case, check out Banshee’s roll and see if you like it. Who knows? You might really like it. Good luck and have fun out there, Guardians.
