Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph Week 6 Story Recap

For the last month and a half, the Guardians and their allies believed they were fighting a war to prevent the invasion of Earth. They had put all their eggs in one basket by placing all their hopes on Rasputin and the WARSAT network.

But the more they fought, the more things didn’t add up. Xivu Arath has a force that easily eclipses the meager forces she’s been sending so far. But why hold back? That’s the question Mara Sov has been trying to answer.

Unfortunately, the answer didn’t fill us with much confidence.

Xuvi Arath has been sending troops to die in preparation for a ritual on Seraph Station. One that can break through the veil and allow all her forces on the Ascendant Plane to descend on Earth. This ritual needs as many sacrifices as possible. And if we continued the plan as it was originally intended then the Guardians would have laid the foundation for the invasion of Earth.

Rasputin is beside himself. He was designed to be humanity’s God of War, he doesn’t know any other solution other than complete and utter destruction. He’ll need time to reconsider a new plan.

In the meeting with the faction leaders, the decision was made to hold the line for as long as possible. Mara convinces everyone that stalemate is their only option for the moment, at least until a more viable solution can be found. Hopefully soon.

(This week should be the final part of the season quest. Expect things to get more exciting as the stage is set for the beginning of Lightfall.)

Destiny 2 Weekly Reset Time

As always, the Destiny 2 weekly reset times are 10 AM PDT for the folks on the West Coast of the US. 6 AM BST for our readers in Britain. And 2 AM JST the following day for everyone in Japan.

Destiny 2 Weekly Activities January 17 – January 23 2023 Overview

In a recent Tweet thread, Bungie announced that they going to be making changes to Grandmaster Nightfalls. They are going to implement the following changes that’ll make the GM experience more accessible for more players:

  • Decreased the Power level needed to enter GMs by 25 to 1580 (the powerful cap).
  • Decreased the overall Power level of Grandmaster activities by 10 to 1620.
  • The current Power difference of -25 (all enemies are at least 25 Power above you) is still in effect.

These changes should get more Destiny 2 players to try out the endgame without having to grind for weeks for Pinnacle loot.

And coincidently (or not), this week’s Destiny 2 weekly ritual booster is going to be Double Nightfall Rewards.
