Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition Photo Mode Improved with PS5 Features

One of the many features that the original game offered that many fans enjoyed was photo mode. It allowed them to express their own style of photography with in-game footage. This time around in Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, this mode has been improved further with the PlayStation 5.

Game Producer Matt Walker recently talked with Official PlayStation Magazine (December 2020 issue) in an exclusive interview, sharing details of what to expect with the new photo mode.

Walker revealed that photo mode has been improved with the PS5’s ray tracing feature. In the original version, the screenshots were cool-looking but it lacked lighting and reflections that could greatly improve shots. With PS5’s ray tracing feature, that has been added according to the producer.

Fans who want to take in-game shots in battle, certain locations, or certain situations, the ray tracing feature will make it all more beautiful. Expect to have high-quality photos with it.

Aside from that, Walker detailed how 3D audio would improve the gameplay. With it, players could hear an enemy behind them or from off camera. 3D audio does a better job of portraying those sounds. This could improve their gameplay as well, letting them know when to evade an approaching enemy from behind.

Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition is now available in digital form for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Physical editions are coming next month.
