Diablo 4 is available for pre-purchasing on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Purchasing a copy on any of these platforms before the game’s release date will give you early access to the open beta. However the Diablo 4 open beta will eventually be available to everyone.
After pre-purchasing a copy of Diablo 4 on any of the available platforms, you will receive an early access beta code. Go to the Diablo IV website and redeem the code. PC players will automatically be flagged for access while those on consoles will be given a platform specific code sent to their email address near the start date of the Diablo 4 beta.
If you’re playing on consoles for the Diablo 4 beta and are planning to team up with friends, then check out if you have PS Plus or Xbox Live. Your options to party up with others are limited if you aren’t subscribed to multiplayer privileges unless you’re on PC.
When you’ve received your code, login to your Battle.net account and enter the code sent to you. You’ll also be asked to input your platform and region (if applicable). You know the code is valid when you’re redirected to the success page.

What can I do in the Diablo 4 Beta?
For both the Early Access and Open beta, you’ll be able to go through the Prologue and Act 1 of Diablo 4. You can level up your character up to level 25 and continue to rip through the horde until the beta ends.
There is open exploration available to those who partake in the beta. The Fractured Peaks is free for players to explore and navigate through as they battle demons. Try out each of the classes available for the beta and see which one fits your playstyle.
Speaking of which, there are only three classes available for the Early Access. You have your pick between Barbarian, Rogue, and Sorcerer. Once the Open Beta is available, the Druid and Necromancer classes will be added. Check out our Diablo 4 Classes Guide to get to know each of them.
You can create up to ten characters on your Battle.net account for the Diablo 4 beta. The progress for each of the characters you’ve created can be transferred from the Early Access beta to the Open beta so you can continue your progress. However theses characters will be deleted upon the end of the beta on March 27.
There are also bosses to beat during the beta. Ashava, a whirlwind of pestilence, can be found in the cold, snow-laden pathways of Fractured Peaks. This boss has two massive blades one each side of its arm and can coat the ground surface in vicious poison. You might be interested in teaming up with your friends to stop this monster.
Can I co-op with other players in the Diablo 4 beta?
Players who do not like to venture alone can co-op with friends. Diablo 4 beta will also have couch co-op enabled for those who want to play close to each other. Online co-op of up to 4 players per party is also possible during the beta.
The process is different depending on whether you’re playing couch co-op or online co-op. For couch co-op, only one player needs to have official access to the Early Access beta while the other player needs to have their Battle.net and console-specific accounts linked. Online co-op play requires that all players have official access to the Early Access beta.
There’s also an added benefit for co-op play as this gives you a 5% bonus experience when killing demons nearby any other player. This bonus is increased to 10% experience if that player is a member of your party.
