Keeping the Old Traditions is a side quest that can be done in Diablo 4. In this quest, players will find another note with a riddle written on it that refers to a nearby statue. The note suggests that interacting with the statue may bring fortune or bad luck. Read ahead as we go through the steps on how to complete the Keeping the Old Traditions side quest in Diablo 4.

The Keeping the Old Traditions side quest can be found in the Untamed Scarps of the Dry Steppes region. Once there, interact with the Lonely Offering near the ruins to start the quest.

Picking up the note will read as follows:

    • “Though timeworn, you endure. Before your colorful kin, I say: Yes, I keep our traditions!”

Afterwards, follow the quest marker towards the west, where you will find a shrine carved on the side of the cliff. As the riddle hints, you will then need to do the “Yes” gesture from the emote wheel. A chest will then spawn nearby, signaling that you have completed the quest.

Inside the chest are some elixirs, and you will also be rewarded with +20 Dry Steppes Renown, XP, and some gold for completing the side quest.

To use emotes, open the action or emote wheel by pressing the [E] key if you are using a keyboard or the [Up arrow] if you are using a controller. You can then use the default emotes on the wheel by selecting them with the mouse or the analog stick.
