Sorcerer: Legacy of the Magi is a side quest that players can take in Diablo 4. In this quest, Mordarin needs some help in recovering a very important codex. However, upon getting the codex, things go haywire.

How to complete the Sorcerer: Legacy of the Magi side quest
Once you reach level 15 as a sorcerer, you will be able to get the Legacy of the Magi quest added into your quest log.
First, go to the marked area in the Icehowl Taiga on the far southwest of the region. You will meet up with an NPC named Mordarin who will ask your help to recover the Forgotten Codex.
Follow the quest marker and head inside the Gateway to Learning dungeon. Make your way through its different rooms and hallways full of enemies. Open the marked chest to find the Forgotten Codex. Pick the codex up and head back to Mordarin.
Once Mordarin has the codex, he will invite you to go into the Abandoned Shack. Light up four braziers inside the room so that Mordarin can start. After the incantation, demons will start appearing. Defeat all of the enemies then talk to Mordarin once more. You will then receive XP and Gold based on your level, plus the Forgotten Codex book as a weapon. You will also unlock the Enchantment Slot class feature for your character. This allows you to assign one of your skills to gain a passive effect.
