Blizzard Entertainment has officially announced that Diablo IV has now gone gold.

For those uninitiated, Diablo IV “gone gold” means that the game is simply ready for launch. Development is now complete and is fully playable from start to finish. Post-launch will only consist of future content that could include DLCs and expansion. It will also include fixes, which is a developer’s way to support the game.

Gone Gold also means that developers are fully confident that the game will not have any problems when it launches. Will Diablo IV launch with only minimal bugs on day one? Maybe not, but the main thing here is the game is now fully playable.

In the comments below the announcement, fans are truly excited about the official launch. “I’d prefer Blood Red, but Gold will do,” says one commenter. Some asked questions like asking if they are buying both PC and PS5 versions, and if could they be able to access the same account on each platform, and one commenter confirmed both versions are linked.

Diablo IV launches on June 6, 2023 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
