Activision Blizzard has recently revealed that Diablo IV has now reached a new player number milestone last month.
Diablo IV New Milestone Revealed
It was revealed by the gaming company that Diablo IV has now reached over 10 million players last month, Jun 2023. This has now driven the record quarter for Blizzard and also become the fastest-selling title to date.
The second quarter earnings report stated, “As of the end of the second quarter, Diablo IV had sold-through more units than any other Blizzard title at an equivalent stage of release.”
Revenue is Going Through the Roof
Diablo IV’s release drove a record three months for the Blizzard business segment. It has given them its first $1 billion net bookings quarter.
Blizzard’s revenue grew over 160 percent year-over-year during the three-month period that ended on June 30, 2023. Its operating income has more than tripled year-over-year, which has now set new quarterly records.
It was also revealed that players have now logged over 700 million hours of game time in June 2023 alone. Its “retention trends for the title are particularly strong.”
Its upcoming first new season, Season of the Malignant will start on July 20, 2023.
Diablo IV is out now on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
